About the artist

Victor Chong (B.A., M.Sc.) did not start photographing in earnest until reaching university, where he was desperate to find new ways to procrastinate. His first camera, a 1968 Mamiya-Sekor 500DTL, did not have the advantage of today’s auto-focus, auto-exposure, or image stabilisation systems and was not very intuitive to use. In fact, his first roll of film came out completely blank.

Victor lives in Victoria, Canada and hopes to win the lottery.
